Guitar Alive Concert 2009!

Alright...departing from the grief of the previous post and moving on with our life...
I heard Kim went to watch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen last night! Which I am so jealous about! Well..maybe because she watched it before me? Or maybe cuz she didn't watch it with me.. *sigh!* which she couldn't possibly do so I guess...(Stupid distance!><)

Anyway, I'm glad the movie made her a fan of Transformers!!! even without me there to nag and convince her about the awesomeness of the first movie! Totally proves that the movie is simply AWESOME!!! Damn! I have to go watch it! In the mean time don't spoil the movie for me plzplzplzplzplz Kim? :D blek~~

*PS: Who's up for an all guy date at JJ this saturday!?!?!? xD
OK back to the point!!! Yesterday was this years first Guitar Alive Concert practice! Well...at least for the Klang people anyway. There are a total of fifteen of us in our ensemble/band/team/clan/ whatever you call it :) but only three of us from Klang!? Sounds like only 20% of the guitaristically talented people in Selangor live in Klang huh? Well then in this case I'm glad to be one of them! xP

So yesterday two guys came over to my house for practice, plus Mr.Ong (our teacher) and I, that makes four of us. We began of with a little note of introduction...which apart from their names (Jin Quan and Leonard), I discovered that that were newbies :) So naturally, they we're given the simpler parts of the song(s) to play...which was Muo Li Hua/Jasmine Flower. And so began our practice by plucking a few fumbly notes and sizing each other up, which was a little bit awkward at first, mostly because neither of us knew each other's standards and were afraid to show off incase we made fools out of ourselves infront of each other xD. Soon after, Mr. Ong gave me the command to lead the team, maybe because I could count the beats better? Or simply cuz I am the lead guitar? Anyway, its just a Leo's worth of bragging rights :) (Kim would understand!)

Well that's that...Throughout the whole practice sesion I couldn't help missing my old ensemble mates...which sadly have stopped learning guitar for various personal reasons. I'll never forget the fun, the laughter, the experience and the friendship we shared together as a team! To those who were with me as a team in 2007 and 2008, I give my sincere graditude and and appreciation for all your hardwork and commitment into making our efforts a complete and rewarding success!

Here's a tribute to my past guitar ensembles, The Trio Ensemble(2007) and Mysterioso Ensemble (2008).

Don't we just look cool from this angle?!?!

This time, Kok Hung was our represenative, as it was also his last time on stage. (He migrated to Singapore last year)
Well that's it for the photos, which were gotten from the Malaysian Classical Guitar Society website. Once again, I bid you all farewell and goodluck in life. It has been an honour working and performing on stage with you guys! A special thank you for my close friend Kok Hung, who held our spirits up high whenever all the time! So long, my friend! We'll meet again one day! And ofcourse, thanks to our teacher, master, and friend Mr Ong, if not for him I would never have met such a bunch of friends :)
Well, I guess this tribute concludes this episode of my life. And as new chapters unfold everyday as I walk this road with Kim, I do also constantly remind myself about my past joys.
Hope ya'll enjoyed this post as much as I did remembering it!
Ciao!!!
To my special one...No joy and laughter I have known in the past can even come close to competing with the happiness you have shown me.
LOVE YOU FOREVER!!! <3

Acceptance.

Acceptance usually refers to cases where a person experiences a situation or condition (often a negative or uncomfortable situation) without attempting to change it, protest, or exit.

Fianlly had the mood to sit down and blog about this. For those of you who don't know the latest frustrating issue on my mind now...

*drumrolls...*

I've just lost my phone on Monday.

Well, to be more precise, it was stolen, actually pickpocketed.

PS: Sorry guyz and gals, I hate to elaborate on the final few moments of my relationship with my phone...therefore I shall only do so briefly.

Alright here's how it happened (briefly). I was getting off the train from Angkasapuri when I noticed someone rubbing against my side and squeezing something out of my pants pocket. When I squeezed my way out of the can of sardines, I realised that my right pocket was empty. Out of the corner of my eye, some Malay dude caught my attention, as he seemed to be quickly stuffing something into his pocket. I ran over and yelled at him and asked him why he took my phone. He paniced, ran back into the train just in time, and the door shut before I could follow him in. *SLAM* Byebye. The end.

It took me a little while before I realised what had happened. Then it struck me, I shall never see my phone again. I felt pretty helpless. There was nothing I could do. When the door shut my phone's fate was sealed and I pretty much knew that that was it...but sitting down and crying would make me an even sorer loser. Thus I did the only thing I thought could possibly give me a glimpse of hope, or rather just a futile way consoling myself.

I ran up stairs and found the police "pondok". In there I found 4 police officers on duty. I explained my situation to them in Malay and asked if there was any possible way to trace down my phone. They told me there was nothing they could do there as anything that happened in/on/in the vicinity of the trains was none of their business. Truth was they didn't seem even remotely interested in helping me. Advising me to make a police report at Brickfields Police Station (because there was no one there who could take my report, yea right~), all four of them strut out of the "pondok" and talking about which mamak stall to go to.

Dissatisfied, I hoped on a cab and found myself at Brickfields Police station. A scary place, since there were so many stories of people being tortured and getting killed in its lockup room, and not to mention the recent water cannon assault on Hindraf riots just outside the building. I gathered up my guts and walked in. Asking around was a great way to know where to make a police report. I soon found myself at a receptionists desk being interrogated by a Malay (which they all are) female officer. One of the first questions she asked me was this :"Orang apa yang mencuri fon kamu?" Me: "Orang Melayu." Her face instantly changed and gave me the "I-dont-want-to-help-you face" Its a look that I will remember. After getting as little information out of me as she could, she printed an official police report with my name, ic, address, stuff on it. Then suddenly it dawned on me. I was actually filed my first official police report~ I would have been prouder if not for the sad circumstances which lead me to do so.

Later on, I got my statement done/retold to another police officer. Which keyed in the necessary first hand information given by the victim required for their detectives to begin the case. (If they choose to begin at all.)

That sums up my visit to the Brickfields Police Station. I walked away frustrated by feeling helpless at being helpless. There was nothing left to do now but sit and bitch about it.

There goes the facts of the case~

HapPy F.A.T.H.E.R's DaY!!!

Woohoo finally a not-so-backdated-post for some people here to munch on! xD

Okay so yesterday was father's day. Got up and wished dad and helped him iron some clothes before going to church.

Oh yeah before that I gave him this mug the night before :)
Which I bought during last holiday in Penang Sunway Carnival Mall's S&J. The same day I bought the a star bottle for my sister's birthday :) [Note: Folding stars with Kim is fun!:D ]
Well, Kim chose this mug for my dad and insisted I BUY it... Actually I would have let her buy it if not because she can't call him dad yet. YET! lol...and since it was meant for father's day I had to be the one paying for it for my dad right? Kim would have to wait a little longer I guess... Anyway he liked it very very much. Even posted it on his facebook for all my aunties and uncles to see! So THANKS alot Kim!!! Gee...you're already bringing the family together! xP

Okay so later that morning we went to church and listened to the special father's day special service there. Which talked about father-children relationships and ultimately about God our heavenly Father. Highlights were some touchy videos...here is 2 of them...

This is "Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin. Dont ask me what the relevance of the title is to the song, but I think the lyrics are just awesome. Frankly it scared the hell outta me~

My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talking before I knew it and as he grew
He said, "I’m gonna be like you, Dad,
You know I’m gonna be like you"

And the cats in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
When you comin home, dad,
I don’t know when, But we'll get together then, Son,
You know we'll have a good time then.

My son turned ten just the other day
He said "Thanks for the ball, Dad, come on lets play
can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today,
I got a lot to do" He said "Thats okay"
And then he walked away but his smile never dimmed
And said "I’m gonna be like him, yeah
You know I’m going to be like him"

And the cats in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin home, dad, I dont know when,
But we'll get together then, Son,
You know we'll have a good time then.

Well he came from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say,
"Son, I’m proud of you, can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head, and he said with a smile
"What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?"

And the cats in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin home, Son, I dont know when,
But we'll get together then, Dad,
You know we'll have a good time then.

I’ve long since retired, my son's moved away
I called him up just the other day........
I said "I'd like to see you if you don’t mind"
He said "I'd love to Dad, if I could find the time.
You see my new jobs a hassle, and the kids have the flu.
But It's sure nice talking to you, Dad, It's been sure nice talking to you........
"And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me,
My boy was just like me..............

*chorus*
----------------------------------------

Well guyz I gtg now. I'll continue this post with the other video if the opportunity presents itself tomorrow! For, now, enjoy the song. really recommend everyone to give it a listen and think about the lyrics. Especially for soon-to-be dads. :)

Who said its girly?!

"Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni"
Banana translation: I was meant to to fall in love with you.

Thats what it says on the little blue pillow thingy she bought for us not too long ago.
It actually came in a pair with a pink counter part...
So I took the blue one and she the pink...
Now it hangs from my wallet everyday...
giving me something fluffy to touch when my hand goes into my pocket
and when I squeeze it
its almost as if I were squeezing her little pinky...
Well, if she bought it for me to remind myself that we belong to each other everyday, its certainly working xD
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, back to this weeks highlights...
Hmmm...nothing much actually, besides screwing up my Moral mid term test, which was suppose to be a fully open book test!!!
When we got there the invigilators told us Mr.Subhi (our weird moral teacher) didn't inform them, and they almost had us sit for the test without bringing in any notes. I mean WTH? We weren't even TOLD to study the notes...Bah well, I guess thats what we deserve for assuming everything in life is easy?
Anyway thanks to Ernest (Leader of EU-Ernest Union) who went out to debate with the assholes, we were finally allowed to "refer" to our notes for Paper 2 essay questions (at least....=.='')
Moving on...
Have been searching for new guitar exam pieces to experiment with lately. A process through which I realised that Grade Four Classical Guitar pieces are just downright weird sounding? No really...there's this song called Gavotte that just sounds like a dying cat at some parts...(or at least when I was playing it lol?). And speaking of which, theres this other song called "Cat and Mouse" which was utterly not Tom and Jerry sounding at all...more like a drunk Jerry was slaughtering a vomitting Tom with a rusty old chainsaw (serious, theres one part that sounds like a chainsaw!) . No offence to the writters...Just not my cup of teh tarik...
On a down note, my guitar teacher's right hand isn't recovering yet...He says he now has "Triger Finger" which means he cant control his right hand movements as smoothly as he could last time. He says if he doesn't recover soon, he might have to give up solo performances all together! OMG!? Thats just so sad...
(All because of one stupid dog that hit him while he was on a motorbike...Evil Doggie...><)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To end post on a positive note,
Kim and I have really picked up the pace in more "progressive" conversations through the phone...
Totally enjoy every minute of talking to her, even though we're not face to face...
but on other times when we're not talking, we can hardly spend an hour away from each other's SMSes anyway
:)
Well thats all for my short update-of-the-week post...
Hope ya'll still enjoy keeping in touch with my bloggie :)
Ciao~

Third and the last for now...

I remember in my previous post, I mentioned our 3rd and final "date" of the holidays...well these are some of the pictures taken on that day.
These pictures were taken at Parkson...
On a little spot I'd like to call as our own...
Which is actaully just a row of comfy chairs LOL ^^
but surprisingly romantic spot to hang out...
even though we were sitting facing a row of clothes xD
Anyway here are the originals,
the edited ones are on her bloggie...
Anyway, noticed the green bean pillow?
Yeah she bought it for me,
although it kinda looked horrible and creepy and spooky with that smile at first...
but I guess she just wants me to wake up to a smile everyday :)
*Gulp!* 0_0!
Oh nothing, I just swallowed a honey pill :D
Well anyway, this was when I gave her the letter...
Which I write impromtu the night before,
which cost me 5 hours of sleep...
But I know it'll cost her alot more hous of sleep while waiting for the day she gets to finnaly open it! xP Curiousity kills my Kim huh? :)
After that we went to AMP Square K (totally her idea) and had a really good time cracking our voice boxes..
Or rather me listening to her crack hers! Since she solo-ed most of the songs xD
Oh and I learned to read a whole lot of new chinese words there!
oh and, to all bananas like me out there...
Bring a dictionary if you aren't prepared to sing chinese songs there LOL...
You'll need it!
Well we had a good time together there...
except for that silly waiter that spilled honey peach juice all over the floor...
(Believe me I was trying very hard not to raise my voice -.-''')
Anywayz...
We shared some magical moments there
and we enjoyed looking at each other absorbing those precious moments into our memories
so that when we miss each other
we'll know exactly where to find each other
right there in those memories...
^^
After that, we went back to our spot...
talked about our past Kampung childhood memories, our families, our future together...and everything in between...
we even pulled out a few white hairs from each others heads
LOL
And in a blink of an eye
it was time to say goodbye
I will never forget that spot on your shoulder where I left my teardrop on... :)
At last our time together was up,
and we had to part and return to our worlds...
never to meet again until chance comes!
its ironic...
that I first fell in love with you in this world of mine
my happy place
my comfort zone
my normal daily life
yet after I journeyed so far to your world to meet you...
I dont think I can ever find my world again.
Because I lost it in yours!
I love losing myself in your world!!!
Arghhh!!! I can't wait for my next semester break!!!
In the mean time, I guess I'll have to roll my socks and study hard!
To prove to myself and everyone else that we can have a future together!!!
Piggy!!!
GAMBATEH!!!!!
*PS: In response to the comment(s), please refer to Kim's Blog for more exciting details and pictures about this post! :)

Diabetical!

I love this picture! :)

But even more in love with the one who edited it xP
We took this on our second "date" at Sunway.
Before we parted
again...
But after we did something
again...
xD

This is one of the many favorite pictures I like to look at when I think of her.

It brings me back to the time when we were together.

Well here are the other pictures that we've taken on that same day :)

These were taken at Sakae Sushi.
By herself LOL...

Other pictures at Sakae Sushi have already been posted by her...
so I'm not be a copy cat and repost those :D
if you all wanna see them, PM me on msn :)

Penang diaries!

HONEY I'M HOME!!!

Or rather I'm in my own home now...T.T far away from my Honey... :(

Yes guyz, I'm back from Penang! (Baby, Leon and Zwen might have found out earlier than anyone else xD) I can't believe it...2 magical weeks of diabetical romance and love just came to an abrupt end like this...

With so many things to blog about so many things that happen in such a short time, I really don't know where to begin...Yet, for memory sake, I'll try once again to fill in the holes of my blog, I hope one day, I'll be able to look back on this and smile and say "Look honey...this was us...remember?" (Awwwww^^)

Well, lets me start from where I left off...Oh yeshh, my birthday isn't it? Well, after the first day of meeting her, my days have gotten brighter and my nights have gotten sweeter eversince. We went out 2 more days since that day...with a little sweet talking my mom to fetch to Sunway ofcourse xD

On 3rd of June was a day like any other day...except we went out together...and watched 2 movies in a row lol...Terminator Salvation and Angels and Demons...back to back! But don't ask me what those movies were about anyway...we weren't paying much attention to what was on the screen :) The details end here xP All I knew was...I was a Demon in the cinema and an Angel gave me Salvation xD

After one movie we went for lunch at Sakae Sushi...which Kim claims didn't exsist in Sunway! But we found it anyway. Took some really nice photos...might update those later :) Oh yeah and I bought her a little pink Piggy...which was the first real me she knew 5 weeks ago ^^ so I hope she hugs it whenever she misses me...I know she does xP

And then on the 9th of June we went out again...this time for the last time for the holidays :( ( since I came back to KL yesterday) sigh...Already expected it to be a tearful meeting, but didn't expect it to be THAT tearful...well, mostly mine anyway...haha...
Anyway, I gave her a letter that day...a letter which cost me my sleep...to open for her birthday...(nah I'm giving you a chance to train your patience xP)

Oh crap I gtg for now! Sry guyz...will finish this tmr...ciao for now...:)
