Guitar Camp!

wheee! I shall be attending a classical guitar camp at Frazer's Hill from tomorrow till Sunday! Okay...so maybe this isn't camp rock and roll...but it certainly is gonna be fun and games and music! :D

This is my first music camp and I'm so psyched!!! Maybe because I'm getting another rare opportunity to perform solo on stage?(3 infact) And yes! Catch up with some of my old ensemble buddays! Oh and my sis is coming along with me too... guitar enthusiasm runs in the family XD

Guess I'll make a quickie check list for myself before I depart tomorrow morning. Hmmm lets see...

Kk...I guess thats all for now? Gtg soon. Dad making alot of bugger noises to turn of the computer although its only 9:30 :)

Chill dude... Its just life under the roof of a control freak.

Good to know the only reason why he's control you more and more is because he's losing control :)

Putera Concert!!!

Hooray!!! I'll be attending the long awaited Putera Concert tomorrow night at the Malaysian Tourism Centre-walking distance from KLCC and a familiar haunt for any of the nation's classical guitar enthusiasts!

Heard from my master that the Princess of Negeri Sembilan will be attending it too! Which means us-the audience probably has to dress up formal for it? Anyway me and my sis won't be taking chances to stick out like a sore thumb amongst the VIPs...looks like I'll have to dress up formal for tomorrow's Contract class lol... not expecting any kind comments XD

On another note, (yet another musical one)

The photos for the Guitar Alive 2009 concert have finally been posted on the official site!

In stark contrast to my previous ensembles, this year's guitar ensemble family extended itself to a whopping 15 members!! with an age bracket that ranged from the youngest-9 year old cute dota whiz kid, to a respected 20 year old college student! No debate this time over the few old style ensemble names...a unanimous decision was made to name ourselves- Dandelion. With this year's program list of ours consisting of 4 easy-to-play nursery pieces. Overall good team playing by all of us, especially the younger ones, but yes once again there is always margin for improvement in terms of coordination. Communication is the key. After all, we are a large family :)

Nonetheless another eye opening (lucky not ear splitting) hands-on experience with classical guitar stage arts! So ends another fruitful year of practicing and thus beginning another cycle of sowing the seeds of melody into the hearts and minds of the crowd with our beloved instrument!

I don't know whether to cry at this because its ONLY been half a year...

or shout out loud "OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE ITS BEEN HALF A YEAR ALREADY!"


The last time I felt this way was at our 100th day milestone.. though perhaps not as exaggerated..


So we spent our One Hundredth and Eighty Second day at our familiar haunt again- Sunway Carnival Mall.


First thing first! Movie time! Arrived there just in time to catch Ninja Assasin!
Another movie spamming copious amounts of blood and gore and flying body parts while featuring wet suit clad Korean movie stars who seem impervious to MP5 bullets. I have to say I actually liked the movie much more before I watched it, simply because of the kick-ass trailer and the prospect of watching Rain play his role as Prince of Persia Korean style~


But okay... maybe I admit I was just uninterested in the movie because me and Kim were stealing the limelight in the cinema? You expect nothing less from 2 love birds in a couple seat in a veddy veddy cosy cinema :)


Thats right~ despite being the second day of its release, the cinema was almost empty. I think either New Moon or Mulan must have stolen a good deal of movie goers for being released on the same day as well lol? Blah...anyway couples can't complain about privacy can they? XD

Okay so back to the date! And after the movie~
Went to Amp Square again! yay!
I wasn't completely unprepared this time...Kim made sure I learned how to sing a few couple chinese songs (or rather scream them) beforehand. I loved every second of the 3 hours we spent in our own lil K box.

Picked up how to sing on my favorite chinese songs there actually. One which I didn't know what the name was but craved so badly. Typical banana I guess?

Actually the name was 梁山伯与茱丽叶...haha.

lol wait...my font just changed after pasting the chinese words above wth...? oh well I'll just finish up this post like this then :D

Also I did manage to catch up with one of my old time favorites too...

Its called The Prayer , yet another beautiful Disney song which outlives the cartoon itself.. which in this case was Quest For Camelot. Long enough to be my current song craze XD!!

Before leaving the K, we cut our so called half year anniversary cake.

As the day drew to a close, we spent out remaining time eating some hot rods at KFC...
and shared a few joyous and tearful moments in Living Cabin gift store before finally saying goodbye...again...


sigh...


Does this date conclude yet another magical holiday season I have here up north? I hope not...perhaps I would see her again during Christmas if I'm lucky.


Anywayz...its an extremely hot day and I feel the need to jump into the shower!

Hi guyz...time for a slightly backdated date post :D

so I'll get this over in a jiffy!

Its our sxth outing and we chose to spend it at Pacific once again XD

odd location given the obvious criticism I made last post? Don't ask why...

that day's activities go as follows lo...

go hang out in parkson awhile...your typical lepaking xD

because shopping not really on the agenda lol...=X

then we watched A Christmas Carol!

A story I always loved as a kid. But the movie was abit of a let down...guess because I was expecting it to be 3D...too bad PCF cinema didn't give 3D sun glases :(

Was even expecting a twist to the tale lol... but the story didn't differ much from Charles Dick's original...that is basically talking about how the stingy Ebeneezer Scrooge>>>

meeting 3 ghosts and miraculously transforming into Mr.Niceguy just in time for Christmas! :)>>>

Coming out of the cinema, looking at her watch, realised we still had 2 more hours together...

Deciding how to spend those last few minutes wasn't hard...rather the decision was made almost empathically...

That is....

Go for another movie LOL!

So we watched Astro Boy.

another cartoon which happy endings were expected...thus making it a perfect way to end another day together...yay :D

Jusco and Pacific! Just terrific! xD

Its our fifth date and I SWORE I am NOT going to spend it at Sunway carnival!

So we pre-decided to take our little secret to Pacific mall (better known as the "megamall" up north) this time..

few things I learnt from going there early...

1. DON'T. Because the place is pretty rundown at some parts even on sundays! Dark corners everywhere! Spooky @.@! Also there are no mobile booths to top-up at too...

2. Make sure your date is fully awake before asking them out LOL! Or else you'll have to camp alone outside the cinema where it's almost pitch black @.@!!

3. Make sure you know your rendezvous point before wandering the mall alone. Especially since the "megamall" has NO LIFTS LOL! A long-winding-wooden-spiral stair in the middle of the mall was the best way to travel from one floor to another. All four floors! XD

4. Don't prepare a surprise point. She never fails to foil them and surprise me instead LOL! example: stalking my movements up the stairway. xD

Well overall... besides the fact the cinema has comfy and cosy couple seats... its a rather dull place to take your date out to?

Oh yeah! We watched 2012... pretty awesome show with a few cool computer graphic scenes here and there...storyline wise was okay I guess? your typical dooms day show plots and themes all along the way..or maybe I wasn't paying too much attention to the movie.. thats normal for me when we hang out XD

But guyz, don't let me discourage you... had no regrets watching the end of the world...seriously...3 more years to live peoples!!! DONT MISS ANY MOVIE NO MATTER HOW SUCKY IT IS LAHHH!?!?!? xDDD

Bah well...thank God we didn't have to wait another 170 days (or the 3 years) to switch to another mall...a MUCH BETTER ONE too! Took a 10 minute bus ride and...HElloooo Aeon Jusco Prai City!!!

Its a place where of you Klangians (like me) would feel right at home up north...besides looking 80-90% like the familiar Bukit Tinggi AJ, it houses about the same shops too...from Subzero to Secret Recipe and ofcourse...Jusco duhhhh -.-

A stark contrast to the dark and dingy Pacific...A.J.P.C. is a must go for all shopaholics and spendalotholics...as for me...was content on getting a new pair of shoes there for RM50... good deal :)

Note to self* Don't buy anymore shoes without Kim's consent...especially if they happen to be black! xD

Oh yeah...we had tunch (tea and lunch) at Black Canyon... over confidence lead to over spending on a RM 60 meal there..wheeeeeee.....Almost didn't have enough money to walk out of there without washing their dishes tim...wahahah... or making her slap me...huhuhu @.@!

Hmmm... spent our digesting time mostly patrolling jusco and avoid being spotted by each other's in-laws..LOL! shhhhhhhhhhh =x

Remind me to work another 9 days before I can afford a diamond ring! xP

CAMBRIGE A-S-Level EXAM IS OVER!!!!

WOOOHOOO! Finally I can spend my days in ways other than spilling my brains over law, economics and business books...or is it spilling their contents into my brain? o.0 Bahhh...Either way is bad for health XD

So yesterday was my last paper...Economics paper 1...relatively simple objective paper of 30 questions... such an anti-climax to the exam spree...tsk tsk tsk...

Anyway I'm glad its done and over with..and so begins another little self-declared holiday of mine...and what better way to spend it than with my her? Will be seeing her this sunday if all goes well I guess. God speed! I can't wait to see her again...its been well over 2 months since I we last saw each other and a little something inside me is just dying to feel her warmth embraced in mine...

Only time will measure the incomprehensible length of our longing for each other.

Well...I bid farewell (for now) to my other commitments as I embark on yet another expedition of adventures with my love. Will be leaving tomorrow at noon. Sooner to break free of those chains, the better :)

[LOTHAR]ians, Hold your positions!

I have not abandoned you! Infact I look forward to reorganising the [LOTHAR] blog due to the sudden increase in clan name publicity and requests to join our clan. Also since I am unable to play during the 3 weeks while I'm gone, it is only fair that I contribute in what way I can by ensuring [LOTHAR] is still a strong (if not now stronger) force to be reckoned with. Especially the pressing possibility of yet another war with the Novas.

[LOTHAR]KilY, later delegate some power to me to maintain blog yeah :D

As for my musical side... looks like I'll be bringing this ol' buddy along to Penang after all. The coming GuitarCamp-Frazer's Hill 2009 requires that I give a little solo performance during camp this December.. which, somehow gives me the feeling that this little vacation might not be much a holiday after all, as I have only 3 weeks to practice practice practice!

Oh yes, and before I forget, I'd like to invite all who are fans of the classical guitar to the Putera Concert this December 9th at the Malaysian Tourism centre. Ticket prices are RM80 a seat, discounted to RM 50 if you wish to book more than 2 seats. It's a concert by 3 international guitarists and a rare chance to watch the pros in action!
