Guitar Alive Concert 2009!

Alright...departing from the grief of the previous post and moving on with our life...
I heard Kim went to watch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen last night! Which I am so jealous about! Well..maybe because she watched it before me? Or maybe cuz she didn't watch it with me.. *sigh!* which she couldn't possibly do so I guess...(Stupid distance!><)

Anyway, I'm glad the movie made her a fan of Transformers!!! even without me there to nag and convince her about the awesomeness of the first movie! Totally proves that the movie is simply AWESOME!!! Damn! I have to go watch it! In the mean time don't spoil the movie for me plzplzplzplzplz Kim? :D blek~~

*PS: Who's up for an all guy date at JJ this saturday!?!?!? xD
OK back to the point!!! Yesterday was this years first Guitar Alive Concert practice! Well...at least for the Klang people anyway. There are a total of fifteen of us in our ensemble/band/team/clan/ whatever you call it :) but only three of us from Klang!? Sounds like only 20% of the guitaristically talented people in Selangor live in Klang huh? Well then in this case I'm glad to be one of them! xP

So yesterday two guys came over to my house for practice, plus Mr.Ong (our teacher) and I, that makes four of us. We began of with a little note of introduction...which apart from their names (Jin Quan and Leonard), I discovered that that were newbies :) So naturally, they we're given the simpler parts of the song(s) to play...which was Muo Li Hua/Jasmine Flower. And so began our practice by plucking a few fumbly notes and sizing each other up, which was a little bit awkward at first, mostly because neither of us knew each other's standards and were afraid to show off incase we made fools out of ourselves infront of each other xD. Soon after, Mr. Ong gave me the command to lead the team, maybe because I could count the beats better? Or simply cuz I am the lead guitar? Anyway, its just a Leo's worth of bragging rights :) (Kim would understand!)

Well that's that...Throughout the whole practice sesion I couldn't help missing my old ensemble mates...which sadly have stopped learning guitar for various personal reasons. I'll never forget the fun, the laughter, the experience and the friendship we shared together as a team! To those who were with me as a team in 2007 and 2008, I give my sincere graditude and and appreciation for all your hardwork and commitment into making our efforts a complete and rewarding success!

Here's a tribute to my past guitar ensembles, The Trio Ensemble(2007) and Mysterioso Ensemble (2008).

Don't we just look cool from this angle?!?!

This time, Kok Hung was our represenative, as it was also his last time on stage. (He migrated to Singapore last year)
Well that's it for the photos, which were gotten from the Malaysian Classical Guitar Society website. Once again, I bid you all farewell and goodluck in life. It has been an honour working and performing on stage with you guys! A special thank you for my close friend Kok Hung, who held our spirits up high whenever all the time! So long, my friend! We'll meet again one day! And ofcourse, thanks to our teacher, master, and friend Mr Ong, if not for him I would never have met such a bunch of friends :)
Well, I guess this tribute concludes this episode of my life. And as new chapters unfold everyday as I walk this road with Kim, I do also constantly remind myself about my past joys.
Hope ya'll enjoyed this post as much as I did remembering it!
Ciao!!!
To my special one...No joy and laughter I have known in the past can even come close to competing with the happiness you have shown me.
LOVE YOU FOREVER!!! <3
