Once upon a time...there was 5s6...

Oh wait.
There still is!!! :D

WOOT!!! CNY class reunion party yesterday was AWESOME! I mean, what more can you ask for when you hang out with your old high school budies?
-crash party at the class teacher's house
-have a nice sit down meal
-pulling off totally whacked out/retarded/kung fu-driving stunts
-getting lost
-missing THREE near fatal car accidents
-gambling-me watching
-ang pau marathon-ing
-chilling out on the couches of 9 different houses
-drinking too much....shandy and wintermellon juice
-and pulling the car out of a longkang

Woah... I've just realised how MUCH elaboration all that adds up to. Bah... anyhow, I'll try my best to make it only a little bit boring :) Here goes~
The day started when Alex picked me up at my house at around 11.20 am in his aunt's Kelisa. (As soon as I stepped into the car, Leon's message arrived asking where our driver was. Good timing!)

Took me a while to notice that his car doesn't have a "P" license sticker. At that very moment we were passing a police roadblock. Not a normal one...me and Alex noticed the heavy fire arms they were carrying. Eg: MP5 Navy Submachine Gun.

I'd love to take a picture of em, but afraid that they might start shooting or break my phone ><

Picked up Leon after that road block. Then got lost in town for almost an hour because somebody gave the wrong dirrections-me. Oh but blame the jam also! :P

We later made a rendezvous with 2 other cars at the ESSO station opposite KP and made a beeline for Pn.Tan-our ex-class teacher's house. The journey was...HOOOLYCRAP....YOU SHOULD SEE HOW ALEX DRIVES!!!! @.@! WHATS WITH THE CRAZY SWIRVES AND KISSING OTHER CARS ASSES?! YOU ALMOST GOT US ALL KILLED MAN!!! LETS DO IT AGAIN! :P lol...

Now I dont have any pictures of Alex dodging oncoming cars or going at 100Kmph over speed bumps. But I do have a picture of him attemping to kiss Teck car's ass...later he hoped out of the car at a traffic light and started chatting with Teck in the middle of the road. lol?

We were practically only one inch away from claiming insurance from each other xD

Anyway we survived the journey and made it to Pn Tan's house. Let the ang pau marathon begin :) Upon arrival we realised we weren't the first ones there. Turns out TWO MORE other cars from our class arrived there earlier! So now in total, we had a convoy of five cars and about 20 peeps! :D

So we sat a little, drank a little, ate a little and played cards a little until teacher realised the only way to chase us out was to give us our ang paus!
WOOTS! With ang paus collected, it was mission accomplished and return to positions~

Ohoh, but now everyone was getting kinda hungry so we decided to have lunch at Shu Ling's family restaurant and asked her to recommend some dishes.

It was a nice place, spacious, classy, your typical sit down chinese restaurant with big round tables, except that they have a few HUGE 9 foot long freshwater fish there called Arapaima..googled it! swt! yaya I love fish!

Joe wanted to eat it and thought he could order it. Turns out they were pets LOL.
So we sat down, Shu Ling took our orders, while bossing the workers around. "OI POUR TEA FOR THEM! THEY ARE V.I.P.S!!!" xD
Didn't take long for the dishes to arrive!
CIAO TIME!

Wheee! Lou yee sang can be so fun with 40 chopsticks! XD (KHang Wei's chopsticks flew across the table and landed on Clement lol!)
The rest of the meal was nice too. Marmite Pork(babi), prawn in a basket, kampung kangkung(Alex's order), Chicken with crackers, spicy squid, fish(not the Arapaima), and tea. I'll give a thumbs up for the service. ;)
I think the bill came up to a total of RM469, but divided by 20 people it came up to less than RM20, so kinda worth it. Oh and I managed to catch this pic of Leon counting the dollars :P

I duno why it is, but its kinda funny xD
Oh and heres the the group picture of the whole bunch of us!

Badly possed indeed! @.@

ShiN being a retard and dancing around my back in the restaurant...so i pulled out my cam and snapped a pic of him before he could dodge...what retards we truly are! :D

Alright, after the meal, we went house hopping, A.K.A ang pau raiding marathon...
I dont exactly recall the sequence of which the 8 or 9 houses we went to... but I think this was roughly how it was. Pn.Tan, Khang Wei, Shu Ling, Wei Kit, Keat, Ah Kiam, ShiN, Joe Way, Kai Hwang, and lastly Alex. Oh wait... that makes 11 houses!

Shin retarding...but I look more retarded. LOL.

ShiN, LeoN, me in Keat's house..err, no comment!
Man! Time flies when when you're collecting ang paus or being overdosed on shandy and packet drinks! @.@

So all of a sudden, we realised it was night. At that moment we were leaving Kai Hwang's place.
Alex pulled his car into reverse and...
*BANG!!!*
A thud, then that weird sinking feeling, literally...
Afraid it was gonna blow up, I bailled out of the car ASAP and looked back.
Then I saw what really happened. The front left tyre of the car fitting snugly into a hole half a foot wide, but about 10 feet deep.

Grrreeeeeeeeeaaaat.... now were stuck in the middle of the night in a deserted taman...the only signs of life we saw were lights from Kai Hwang's place opposite the street, but there was no one at home except him. LOL!
Guess we're on our own. So we tried yanking and pulling and lifting and gunning the accelerator but to no avail ><
Then we found a hydraulic jack in the back of the car! :D
so we called upon our group's Herculeses-Clement and Thuan Thee, ex-Police Cadets to crank up the hydraulic jack and the car was eventually lifted from the bottomless pit~
CHEERS TO THE POLICE! (I luv you MP5 Navys :P)
Oh yeah before we move on, heres a picture of Khang Wei pretending to help out. He insisted I put this up somewhere...so cheers to Khang Wei~
SWT~~~
Okay moving on :D it was getting kinda late already so I had only time to visit one more house before I went home :(
So last stop, ALEX's!
lol...the stop at his house was probably a record... we were basicly there just to get our ang paus and ciao! So it became more of a drive-through...
"HI AUNTIE! GONG XI FA CHAI HAPPY NEW YEAR SHEN TI JIAN KANG! BYE!"
It was pretty damn rude... but his mom didn't seem to mind...so...neither did we la. Sorry! But we're really in a hurry!
Well that was basicly the end of our CNY reunion celebration. At least for my part :)
Alex dropped me off at my place but rejoinned the rest of the gang for another late night stake out at Sino. Heard that ShiN and Alex owning the whole CC...?
Bah! anyway, thats not mine to tell. Perhaps Shin or Lex or the rest of you guyz can blog an account of what happened after I left? :D Damn nightstalkers! xD
PS: Joe Way: "Next time...please split the CNY reunion into AT LEAST 3 days! @.@"
GOOD IDEA JOE.... :D
Ciao guyz~

Left is Right. Right is Wrong.

Time for another emo and contemplative post...possibly the sequel to "Am I really that Transparent?"

Before I begin, heres part of the lyrics from the song-Gotta Be Somebody-by Nickelback. It totally suits my mood now.

************************
So I'll be waiting for the real thing
I know if by the feeling
the moment when we're meeting
will play out like a scene, straight off the silver screen

So I'll be holding my breath
Right up to the end
Until that moment when
I find the one that I'll spend forever with!

'Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares
Someone to love with my life in their hands
Theres gotta be somebody for me like that...
*********************

I'm sure everyone has had an experience before... whereby you had to choose between 2 choices. When both seem no less right from the other...

I found myself at another one of these crossroads again the other day. Just hit me like that...*whack* without no warning.

So there I was, staring down 2 paths, both with pros and cons. Though later I realised, both were just pros, without cons, just pros in a different way.

They looked like this (sry I have no pics to show ><) : one path going off sharply to my left, and the other sharply to my right. I had only the luxury of a second to decide, else be trampled on the the stampeding crowd. That second lasted longer than I could remember.

The path to my left was a path of adventure, full of uncertainty, lined with signposts that said"procede with caution", "danger ahead!", unpredictable, yet strangely alluring...the faint but everpresent scent of temptation allured me to take a step. Just a step. Yet, my lingering memories emplored me not to enter. With some unphathomable reluctance, I looked away with foolish defiance.

I turned to my right, the usual scene. A bright path, straight path, dotted with familiarity and the mocking air of security. Carrying some a hint of unspoken dissapointment, I walked down this path with the ease that would have me stumbling should I have done the same with the other path. I sat down with some irritable smugness I can never forgive myself for.

Quote from the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost...
"And sorry I could not travel both..." was the only apology I gave myself after the incident.
Yea... to many people, thats just talk cock~ but whatever...I've had my share of sharing for the day.

Perhaps one day I might strike a balance between these two roads. Somehow manage to explore them both and living both to my liking :)

So had I made a wrong desicion that day? Who knows? Only time will tell.

now ThAts... FOOD!!!!

First Day of Chinese Niu Year!!!!!!
The most auspicious time for Ang Pao hunting, gambling and STEAMBOAT!

Haha. So last night I was invited to dinner at a VERY close family friend's house. ( yeah.. I mean I've been very close to them since I was a month old...so we're practically almost family ^^)
Since dinner hasn't started, I had the chance to steal some pics from the kitchen xD

Foooooooood! GLORIOUS FOOD!!!!

From Mount Sausage to Mount Meatballs is approximately...1 Km!'
Enough to feed 30 people...
Alright, it's just as big no matter what angle you try to take it from.
xD
The turn out was just CRAZY.... their whole extended family showed up at the door, so in total there were about 30+ guests. Just enough food!
Got a rare chance to meet some of their distance relatives. Which is kinda like meeting "my" own family I guess?
Anywayz, didn't get much chance to take much pics after the dinner. Everyone too tired and drunk...
Thus the "gambling partaaaaaay" was canceled also T.T
But anywayz I think I was too drunk to gamble anyway xD don't wanna get scammed!

"' 'Chinese' 'NIU' Year '(re)-union' " 'dinner' " "'

This year's reunion dinner was probably the skraaaaaawniest CNY dinner (yes, even to my standards LOL) I've eaten in my life!

Note: I had alot of problems trying to come up with the suitable punctuations for the title of this seemingly simple post. Stick around and you might understand why :)

As some of you may know, my family members-in Klang-consist of me, and my dad. (Not that I dont have a mom, its just that she's staying in Perak, with my sis and have recently moved even further away to Penang. Thus the harder it is for me to endure an 8-9 hour bus ride, if I wanted to go down.)

lol anwayz...since that's the situation, going out and having a nice meal has been a CNY tradition for me and my dad. However this year was a lil different.

An old family friend of ours invited us to her house for a simple open house CNY dinner. (Kinda unexpected, but a welcomed change from the usual)

Upon arrival, two things unexpected things happened at once.

#1. There were only 3 small bowls of dishes on the table
-one containing dhal curry (home made and stickier and thicker than stew, completely no curry powder added)
-one containing 5 pieces of fried egg+bitter gourd
-last one containing small chunks of pork (I have no idea how she cooked it. Look like it had been dried under the sun for 1 week, and then re-fried)
-oh, and a loaf of bread ( found out what it was for later)

#2. The company there was REALLY interesting (especailly for a CNY ' "reunion" "dinner" ' )
-Auntie Kath-Chinese- (who invited us)
-Jane- her daughter (30+)
-Christian- a Mat Salleh- Norwegian(Viking)-husband of Jane-extreme choleric-(30+)
-Aunt Maureen- Mat Salleh also-British-(60+)
-Uncle Collin- husband of Aunt Maureen-Mat Salleh too-British-(65++)
-Mr.Victor-Indian- Husband of Auntie Kath-( Dont ask me, I have no idea, must be pretty old to be sitting in a wheel chair)

So overall, the entire "dinner" wasn't how we pictured it to be.
Thus, combine these two sets of elements together, and you're in for an interesting evening~

Well for starters, Christian is really THE talker there. I'm not so sure what he does for a living but he says he's traveled around the world and been to 100+ countries. Studies Political Science. And seems to know a great deal about the universe and theories and quantum physics and subatommic mass and pythagoras theorem and islands and politics and the understanding of everything.
Really wish he was my orientation lecturer...I'd have followed him home XD. JKJKJK...

Then, theres the old British couple. Although they hate rice, Auntie Kath force fed them. Aunt Maureen especailly LOATHES dhal curry, she took a drop and put it on her tongue, and began coughing rediculously dramaticly..."OOOOHHH!! It's BURNING me!!!!!..." I ran to get her water, in fear she might choke to death ><'''

Later she settled down and ate that loaf of bread and ignored everything else...but then again, there was nothing much to ignore anyway =.=''

Next there's Mr. Victor. Who gave some really funny advice like: " Boy... the money is in the soil."
(I scratched my head)
"If one bag of soil is RM1, then 1 million bags of soil is 1 million RM.."
(Ahhh...now I get it)*nods*
"Start digging..." *he gave me the thumbs up*
*nods somemore*
*Aunt Maureen and Uncle Collin gave me the look that said - *Sigh...sad...*

Bah well... thats pretty much as brief as I can make this post... yet make it sarcastically interesting(to some).
Other less interesting but yet equally sarcastic things that happened that night was when Mr.Victor pulled Auntie Kath towards him while pointing at me and said :"KATH COME HERE, LISTEN, from now on... he's your son."
(huh? was that intersting?)
(It gave me the creeps. My dad smiled at the rest of the company irridiculously)

Okay enough! The more I write in this post the more I feel I'm part of that mad house!
